Have not looked at other's links but I have been pining after a Pendleton throw blanket for years. They are glorious and expensive and something of an iconic brand -- it would make a really nice gift (especially if I am secretly the recipient!).

Check out the Avoca mohair ones.

They're super warm and good quality (but caveat that I find mohair a bit itchy).

I hate polyester fleece or faux fur throws - they get so much static. It's really hard to find something else that's acceptably soft, though, unless you splurge on cashmere

Hello. Can someone suggest a brand? I tried Amazon but all of the items with lots of stars had reviews with images of the blankets in tatters after a few weeks. This is a gift so I'd like to be nice and last. What price should I expect to pay for a good blanket? The Amazon ones seem to top out at $125 or so.
