10 days pay is very generous. I would make the second gift something of less value ($50-$100) that reflects her interests or needs. Mine enjoys reading, so we've gotten her a Kindle. Kids always make handmade cards or small craft ornaments.

We spend around $100 on her second gift (first is bonus). This year we’re giving her theater tickets to Hamilton (she really wants to see it). Last year we gave her APL shoes she wanted; the year before we gave her a down jacket; year before that was a framed pic of the kids and a personalized mug for the house; year before that... I can’t remember... maybe all bird shoes? We also give her birthday gifts so I’m getting confused! Year before that it was a monogrammed small purse-backpack. I do remember her first year with us when we gave her a bracelet with “Thank you for helping me grow” inscribed inside because she’s worn every day since!!

The kids and I also make her her favorite dessert: banana pudding.

We give our nanny 10 days pay for a bonus at Xmas but also want to give a more thoughtful gift. Anyone else? What is your gift if so and what rough price range do you feel is appropriate?
