Here are a few reasons.

3, 5,6 and 13 are the ones that get me contemplating quitting....MS teacher.

She will probably quit. Classroom management is rough, and even rougher this year.

Most teachers quit in the first five years, because it's such an easy and well paid job. /s

I just check boxes. And I don’t even fail the kid sleeping or on the phone all day. I give them a 60% and avoid unnecessary BS.

When my teen was in 4th grade, the teacher could not control the class. It was hell for the entire year, they learned practically nothing, and she left teaching at the end of the year.

Strength to the teacher and all the children in her class, OP.

I think about quitting every few weeks but I am a single parent so I can't. It's been wonderful to be in person this year but the behaviors are just so out there. It is draining. We found out today that we are getting a half day on December 23rd and I felt such relief that I almost cried. Lots of teachers are on the edge.

What can you do to support this teacher? Can you send her a note (not referring to her comment at all) but thanking her for what she has done this year? Can you volunteer in the classroom? Can you send in some books or supplies? Mostly though I would send in a note (and perhaps a Starbucks card).

One of my kids lost one last week. It's a a hard job always and this year is over the top.
