My 5yo DD and 2.5yo DS see us naked frequently but briefly. We have one bathroom so sometimes on the way to a shower or to drop clothes in the hamper in the hall. The kids still bathe together happily and have no desire for privacy except sometimes I tell me daughter to do whatever she's doing in the privacy of her own room.

I have a 4.5 year old (Boy) and 3 year old (Girl). We’re starting to get more modest with dressing around them and letting them into the bathroom after my son started pointing out a few choice things.

However, they do still bathe together because they have not expressed any curiosity about the other’s body. When that does happen, or whenever they want, we’ll move to individual baths and even more privacy.

Mine are 4.5 and 1. We don't generally undress in front of her and both of us prefer to shower in the bathroom alone. I'm still breastfeeding so my oldest sees boobs a lot. She also likes to take a bath with her little brother sometimes. I try to follow her lead on privacy. She did start wanting to wash herself so I taught her how.

Our oldest is almost 4 and she doesn't mind barging in on us, but she has recently asked for privacy within the last month or so which we are happily respecting.

Oldest is a boy, younger is a girl. Neither of them is modest within the family. At all. I wrote on a thread a week or so ago about how they like joking about their private parts. Except they do want privacy when they are in the bathroom. Occasionally they will ask to take a bubble bath together but they barely fit anymore and get really rowdy/messy so I try not to encourage it.

Do you still wash them head to toe? I wouldn’t have any problems with them taking baths together if they don’t mind it.

It depends. I usually still wash my 5 year old but sometimes she wants to do it herself. We've been weaning my older kid to be completely independent showering but if we're in a big hurry I might do it bc he takes forever.

Haha, I am uncomfortable when my 18 month old insists on coming to the bathroom with me - every bathroom visit - but most days the options are let her come, let her cry in the next room.

We don't have a problem with nudity, but don't walk about naked either, because it's cold and we don't want to keep windows closed So, do whatever feels natural to your family, OP. In this case, ALL the answers are right.

When one person gets uncomfortable. That's the whole answer. Not when YOU are uncomfortable with DD seeing DH, but when DD doesn't want to see DH she will simply leave the bathroom or whatever.

My husband got more modest when DD was around 3. Besides that I think he felt he should cover up, I also didn’t want our kid going to preschool and talking about what she saw at home that could be taken out of context.

My daughter is 3 1/2. Both my husband and I have paid no attention to getting undressed in front of her or having her play in the bathroom if one of us is showering. I’m wondering when a good cut off might be for us, or maybe at least my husband, to be more modest in front of her? Now? Or at 4 or 5 or 6? We’re not a “naked” family and are fairly modest in general. I’m wavering between not wanting to make it a big deal because she’s so young, but also wanting to not scar her, lol. And I guess in general to ensure she understands when it’s appropriate to be private, at and in age appropriate times and ways.
