Nope not at all concerned.

St. Anselms, Le Diplomat, Nina May I believe all have heaters.

Pub and the people has great fire pits.

Cuba Libre has fire pit cabana things. I’m not a huge fan of their food, but the ambiance is great.

Hello Ms. Prissy-- eating outdoors is a lot better than eating indoors and spreading Covid. People taking up hospital beds and using critical supplies is a lot costlier to society. I do not have a car and help the environment by walking. I bet you have a car and live in a single family home out in the burbs.

But wouldn’t more deaths be better for the environment overall?

So you're saying you are a hypocrite?

I would not recommend Rasika in Chinatown for outdoor dining. We walked by and it was a completely enclosed plastic tent. I don’t see how that’s helpful. There’s like no ventilation. And the waiters weren’t even wearing masks, even inside the tent.

If you’re doing outdoor dining, go to a place that isn’t completely enclosed in plastic. I don’t see how that’s any better than being inside.

Le Diplomate says they have a heated patio but haven’t eaten there personally
Sfoglina has one that is heated and enclosed, but I thought it was still too cold.

OP, I like your optimism; I actually feel like restaurants are half-assing heated outdoor dining because energy costs are high, they think the demand is back for indoor and people are largely vaccinated. Can't say I blame them.

I'll contribute:
-RPM (Mt Vernon Square)
-Augie's (Old Town Alexandria)
-Stracci Pizza (Del Ray)
-Piece Out (Del Ray)
-Lena's (Del Ray/Rosemont)

Any other good heated spots in Georgetown, OP? I'm not a huge fan of Farmers Fishers. I did eat at Cafe Milano outdoors recently but it was in warmer weather so we did not need heaters.

I'll add Iron Gate

We recently went to Annabelle and they had heaters and a tent. Food was delicious. Highly recommend it.

Can we have a thread for people to recommend restaurants with good outdoor heating dining areas? Most of the information I can find online (from sources like Eater & Washington Post) is from last winter, and I imagine that more restaurants are doing a better job this winter. It's not easy to tell from restaurant websites if the outdoor area is heated or not. For example, I love Thip Khao but can't tell if the outdoor area has heaters.

I recently ate at Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown, and the outdoor dining was well heated and it was totally comfortable. (Food was of uneven quality, but I hardly minded because I was happy to be out.) I would love to know of more options, especially with a good atmosphere and great food.
