You can report Florida plate owners to Virginia counties for vehicle tax evasion.

You only need to live in Florida six months and 1 day to be a resident. I have snowbirds in my block.

We are from Florida. DH still works out of DC. We live in Florida most of the time, but we do own a home in NoVA. We have Florida plates on all of our cars. Not cheating. Florida is our home.

I notice license plates from all over. Colorado, California, New York. I wonder if it's because it's been much harder to get in at the DMV though I hope that's eased up.

Anyone else noticed how many Florida license plates there are around the DC area now? I see them every time I am out...495, 270, 66 and so on.
What's the deal? Tax cheats? Legitimate movers? What is everyone else seeing...and if you are one of the Florida license plate folks are you really living in Florida? Do you actually own real estate in both DC and FL?
