Can guests apply their own to free up your hands?

My husband squirted some on his pumpkin pie snack last week before company stopped by, and feeling rude, he left it in the kitchen while they had a short visit. It was a puddle by the time they left, less than an hour later.

Thanks - I absolutely could do it on the spot before serving, but was just hoping to to not have to be too hands on once at the venue. Not a big deal though.

Of course the great thing about canned whipped cream is it takes a few seconds to apply. Is this a GBBO type situation where you can’t do that?

If this is for photography, use shaving cream. If it’s for photography and has to be edible, use egg white and make it a quasi-meringue. The canned stuff will deflate — especially under lights — in the blink of an eye.

Not long I wouldn’t think. It’s not very stiff. You’d may be better off making your own and piping it to look like canned.

How long before canned whipped cream deflates? I usually make my own, but in this case, it's more important that it looks like it's the canned kind, so I'm going with canned. How long in advance can I use it?
