It depends on the time of the day.

Mid- morning when he's fresh and engeregizrd and ready to run around -no.

Evening time/dinner - yes

No. My kids are almost 7 and 5. They will sit through three half-hour shows but something about a whole movie - they've only done it once or twice. They're both really sensitive to scary/stressful things, though.

Only if sick or really tired. She’d never be able to do it on her birthday because she’d be waaaaaay too amped up from the excitement. But we could probably put it on after dinner and she might pass out watching? Maybe. Unless she wanted to play with new toys.

We are hoping to be able to go to a movie when she’s 5 in a few months. But I won’t attempt it on her actual birthday.

Yep! My just turned 5 year old has sat still for a few years for it. My 3 year old can make it halfway through.

Totally depends on your kid. Two of mine absolutely could and did by age 4. One of mine, still can’t at age 7. She doesn’t have ADHD, she’s just restless.

Same. But it had to be one they wanted to see. My kid with severe ADHD could sit through a movie by 3.5 years old.

My two kids could sit through a whole movie at 2.5 if not before.

^This is my second child. He’s 4.5 and only very recently will he watch most of a movie. My first will sit on the couch and watch a movie start to finish and has always been that way.

Of course, even the one with severe ADHD.

Only Octonauts and Paw Patrol. We did see Encanto at the theatre and he told me he was scared several times, but he sat through it. He's also mentioned watching a few movies at school so I guess he sat through those, but whenever I try to get him to watch others at home - he complains.

Mine can not but some friends kids can. I think it depends

DS wants to watch Frozen at home on his 5th birthday. Can he sit through the whole movie, or should I look into a backup activity? It’s not a party or anything, just MIL and SIL, but still would like to do something other than sit around staring at each other.
