At 12, my crafty (but not necessarily artistically inclined) DD absolutely loved the RoLife miniature model kits and ROKR wooden model kits. These were pretty much her pandemic lifesaver. Her favorites were the library/bookstore and the Japanese house, as well as the functional wooden clock.
If you do purchase kits like these, she found the Beacon 3-in-1 Craft Glue that frequently shows up in the “Customers Also Purchased” lists on Amazon to be really useful, because it’s much less stringy and more forgiving that the stuff that comes with the kits.
