I'm surprised so many people have periods - continuous birth control is my BFF! So I have no idea, but I got pregnant immediately after trying despite a weird ovulation nearly 2 weeks late. So still functional...!

Not trying to dismiss the possiblitity, but it's worth ruling out other avenues too.

Sure you aren't. Millions of 33 yearolds are suddenly perimenopausal, ironically right after being vaccinated.

No, PP - this is real. Be happy that it didn't impact you.

+1 stop writing off women's concerns as just being perimeneopausal

I’m 11:07.

I realize you’re not trying to dismiss the possibility that it’s the vaccines but unfortunately that is what many people do, dismiss valid women’s health concerns. I’ll try to go back to my thread and I had so many people tell me it was perimenopause or menopause. . Enough reports have surfaced that it cannot be a coincidence. This is a valid concern and it should be investigated as a possible side effect. Like I said, I already got my booster.

PP here. But that's why I am saying it. People also dismiss perimenopause as well. There is SO LITTLE information about it that it can be blindsidiing. Go to the gyno, get bloodwork drawn and investigate all the things so at least you know what you are dealing with AND it will be another useful datapoint for your gyno to point to the vax if it turns out there's not another reason.

Let me settle your debate: you don’t need a booster.
I say this as someone fully vaxxed and not affected in terms of menstruation.

Jesus, PP. Try decaf next time.

This is why I was asking -- if you're 33, of course not. But if you are 45, well that's an different story. There isn't much disucssion about perimenopause, what it looks like and when it kicks in, so, as someone who has just gone through this, its highly worth visiting your gyno to see if that is the issue.

I was talking to a friend on the weekend who got this (from Moderna, though, not Pfizer). She has had much heavier and more frequent periods since getting her shots, with additional heavy bleeding immediately afterwards both times. She is not anti-vax but is very sure that the vaccine caused these changes/problems, which have not resolved. She has PCOS, and is around 40, so both PCOS and peri-menopause are possible explanations. But she said she had light periods on a 70-ish day cycle for her whole life before this, and she now has extremely heavy periods on 20 day cycle, and this change coincided precisely with the vaccine.

I am extremely pro-vax and have already gotten my booster. But I get OP's hesitation around the booster, and I can honestly understand women of reproductive age having some hesitation about the vaccine when these reports are widespread and there is no clear medical explanation for why it happens.

I haven't had my period since I got my Pfizer shot in August.

I have had prolonged post menopausal bleeding since my second shot. After much testing and analysis, my gyn does NOT think my issue is related to the shot. However, she has seen several women with temporary changes to their cycles that have resolved within a few months.

Mine switched to every three months after second shot - I did get my booster but I’m also 44 and done having kids

Me! I posted about this a few months ago. My periods are longer and more frequent. But I got my booster!

I have been thinking about posting this exact same question for days now, but I’ve been reluctant since many on this site are so dismissive of this issue. I experienced unprecedented and prolonged menstrual issues immediately after my first Pfizer shot. I have only just in the past few weeks gotten to a point where things feel stable again (after many inconclusive doctor appts, ultrasounds and eventually an IUD). I’m really worried about getting a booster and potentially disrupting things again. Would love to hear if other people had issues after their boosters. (Particularly if they already had issues after their initial shots. Not interested in debating whether or not there’s a connection. We’ve done that already.)

Anyone has similar situation? My first shot & second shot was back in March & April 2021. I am only in 30s.

I am debating if I should take the 3rd booster shot.
