I'm curious as well. Any dryer is just a heating element and a fan, what does a cheap one do that destroys you hair vs an expensive one?

I've been using this one for the past 2 years and I really like it and it dries my hair faster! Much better than the cheap $20 conair one I'd been using for years.

I very rarely buy anything expensive. I actually contemplated the $400+ Dyson hairdryer last night. The BabyBliss seems like a good compromise.

I never thought there was a difference but I have learned there is. Cheaper ones can make the hair frizzier and fried looking.

I had an old Conair which would not die, but seemed to work just fine and I had no desire to replace it. When it finally did burn out, my husband bought the Babyliss Pro Titanium something and it really does make a huge difference. My hair seems so much smoother and less fried feeling when I use it, versus my old one (which was the "ionizing" or whatever they used to push).

It's really loud but does dry faster and much nicer. It does not seem as hot either, which could be why my hair feels less cooked.

I bought a "ceramic" one 12 years ago and I would love a new one but the old one is good as new! It's quiet, fast, and not too large or heavy.

I have never used an expensive hair dryer. I buy mine from Target and each lasts at least 5 years. My hair is healthy. I think it depends more on products and method of styling.

Once you get the Babyliss you won't ever want another cheap dryer again. The speed it dries at is much faster.

+1

I have this one

I used to have a Revlon one, but the babybliss one is a game changer. Cuts my drying time. I have very thick hair.

I never used the cold setting but read about it, and it actually does work great taming the flyaways and locking the style.

Trying to buy a hair dryer with so many on sale now. Not looking for the cheapest hair dryer but at the same time not looking to buy a $400 dollar one either.

Do you have a brand you recommend? T3, Revlon? Some are 30-40 dollars while others are 70-100 dollars - any difference as all seem to have 3 heat/2 speed/cool shot.
