We bought these for Christmas last year. $99 each (size 3000, 3 ft) and they are HUGE. My then 9-yo twins love them and use them almost daily. I love that instead of polystyrene beads, there are stuffed with memory foam cubes inside that are pretty easy to fluff up. The first time, they fluffed up a little and were medium sized. But after several days the foam cubes fluffed teh chairs into the balls. They flatten to about half sized and I can refluff them to these big balls easily. I think I've refluffed them about 3 times over the last year and that is from very continuous use.

Ours really do look like the pictures. We have the teal and the red fur. Not sure why the red fur no longer comes in the 3000 size and is way more expensive ($194) this year (size 4000). We got it in size 3000 at the same $99 price as the teal one.

Good things that dont break cost $

You may want to check materials if you care about offgassing and that sort of thing. I have a friend who is really concerned about/sensitive to environmental toxins - it's been a while but I think she had concerns about the polystyrene beads and recommended the shredded foam. The beads tend to be cheaper, I think.

I've been seeing a lot of beanbag type chairs at HomeGoods lately, most in the $40-$60 range.

I would go somewhere you can see it in person. We got one for DD and the material is rough and it is just not h to at comfy. I think it is a hard product to judge online.

We have one of the Big Joe ones. I can't remember what size but it's pretty huge. I would not say it's flat at all. If anything it's overstuffed and doesn't really "embrace" you when you like in it like a bean bag should LOL. DS likes it a lot, he reads on there (and just pounces on it all the time too).

Not local, but we've had these for several years and they're still in perfect shape. Some colors are close to your budget.

Just be forewarned that the large is huge, so you may want to go smaller. I believe Walmart also sells this brand.

Both my kids (8 and 11) are asking for beanbag chairs for Christmas. I was going to get them from Pottery Barn Kids / Teen, but the shipping fees and surcharges are ridiculous. Most of the ones on Amazon and Target get very iffy reviews. Anyone have ideas where I could buy them locally? I was hoping to spend no more than ~$125 each. Thanks!!!
