I think people are a lot more likely to skim over Evites if they don't recognize the sender's name--I assume these parents don't know you so they may assume they are junk mail/spam/misaddressed.

Send an email following up. Ask them to rsvp by whatever date.

Around the holidays can be so hectic, OP. I would just email them directly with a link. Hope the party is lots of fun!

Send a reminder through Evite and they will probably see it or be reminded to respond.

I’m so sorry, that can be so frustrating you’re not alone in feeling this way. Even tho I understand why someone might not have viewed it , it still makes me nervous b/c as parents you want your child to have a good time with friends.
Just send personal emails and say you are finalizing
Food/details for the party and wondering if they had time to
Look at the invite.

I just ping those people and say - I saw you haven't viewing the evite - just wanted to make sure you got it!

When is the party? I've been on the party circuit for many years and have heard many people say they deliberately don't open the invitation right away because they know they aren't ready to commit and they know the host can see they've opened it.

Could also have gone to spam; either way, send an email to follow up.

OP here. Thanks, all. I will try that. I sent out Evites all the time for friends and preschool parties, and I have never really experienced this. I use Gmail myself, and I have always seen the invitations.

Often times it will go to the spam folder or they will forget to click on it.
I would send an email through your personal email and include a link to the evite with a short brief message saying that you are resending the link through email because often times the evite ends up in the spam. And I would include a, "Please RSVP by date" in the evite if you haven't yet.

Don't be discouraged or cancel - it can still be a fun party with just a couple of friends!

It's possible it went to their spam folder, or their "social " folder if using Gmail. It's also possible that they saw it in their email, but didn't click on the button that says "view invitation".
Sorry OP, that sounds frustrating, I would email the parents directly instead of sending a printed out copy.

I sent a birthday invitation (Evite) two weeks ago and I have 6 parents who have yet to view my invitation. These are email addresses given by DS's kindergarten teachers. I have seen a couple of the same parents who signed up to bring different items to the class, so I know the email addresses are legit.

I don't know understand why the invitation wasn't even viewed. I have another 6 parents who have viewed but not responded. At least that is more common. Should I print out copies of the invitation and send it to school for those who have yet to view invitation? Honestly, I feel very discouraged and am thinking of canceling the whole thing. It's a real pain to organize a party and if DS doesn't mind, I'd rather take him out somewhere. The real issue is DS has been asking for a party.
