You can add the gelled part to soup too. Seems a shame to waste it. Regardless, I applaud you for asking this question and for properly disposing of the fat.

It is almost 2 cups worth with a quarter inch of solidified fat that separated to the top. Can not be done with paper towels. I know the fat needs to go in the garage but was not sure on the rest.
