Know what's not fun? A spouse who demands to go through your work emails and throws a fit over emails with male co-workers that are too "friendly", as in they say "Hey Larlo" rather than "Dear Mr. Smith". Or who puff up and start figuratively pissing around the room to mark their territory. I remember once we took DS to the doctor and the doctor was a fairly attractive and personable male. xH started trying to boss him around, demand he do things, questioned everything he said, took an overall threatening and aggressive tone.
I find any sort of alpha or jealous behavior extremely off-putting and unattractive. After my divorce I refused to date anyone that exhibited those traits. Married a man who has never shown any jealousy and who most would consider "feminine" (artistic, sensitive, in touch with his emotions). Very, very happy now, and yes, we have tons of awesome sex.

He doesn’t tell me not to talk to other men or get angry if someone is flirting with me, but he will walk up and put his arm around me if he sees me talking to another man. I think in the OP of the other thread, her husband asked the old boyfriend to get a beer. I could see my husband doing that, but his arm would be around me the whole time, and if we all went out together, he would sit right next to me and make it obvious that we are a couple.
Barf. He probably touches your butt in public too just to make sure everyone knows you guys have sex. Gross.

The woman with the non jealous husband thread devolved into a lot of name calling, but I’m curious. Is the idea that Alphas do get jealous and are territorial? I’m trying to think of the people I’ve dated. One Alpha guy was definitely jealous and did not like to discuss former relationships of mine.
As a woman do you prefer this?
