Slightly overbaked the chocolate fudge cake and the ganache icing didn’t come out the way it should have.. but we haven’t eaten yet so there’s a chance it tastes good. Still waiting to bake my sea-salt and herb skillet rolls, so those could be a disaster as well, since I’ve never made them before.

I’m sick and DH and our teenager are cooking everything while I isolate (they don’t want me helping). Luckily DH is a good cook, but this is a lot for them.

Cooked too many sides in my one oven. Now they’re taking longer to finish. This is why I want double ovens!!

If I am invited to a meal/holiday, I do not care if your house is not in perfect order. I’m just happy for the invite.

Forgot the cranberry sauce. Is it even a thanksgiving meal without cranberries???

Not coordinating dessert. I ordered an apple pie and 2 others brought apple pies so we have 3apple pies.

My pumpkin ice cream roll cake went flat in the freezer.

My turkey is getting too brown too fast.

My kids filled up on home made crackers and won’t eat any real dinner.

Bought too much food. Again.

I gave in to the whims of the family and didn’t make my favorites (mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce). Regretting it!

Incorporate them into lazy Sunday dinners. A green bean casserole as a side to a roast chicken here, cranberry sauce as a side for pork tenderloin there. I right the wrongs of other people cooking on holidays slowly, over time, by making the things I like “my way” here and there.

Freeze the dough and make pie for another holiday!

I was cheap and rather than ordering from Clyde's or Founding Farmer's, I ordered from Brio. It is inedible and tastes like they poured salt all over it. We are salvaging Thanksgiving now.
