OP here - no the 6 and 5 year old aren't too bad. Its the baby (all PJs can only be worn once because he pees and it stinks) and his clothes during the day can't be reused at all. DH and I both work out so our regular clothes plus workout clothes daily. Then 4 beds sheets at least once a week (unless there is a night time accident) and towels. Its never-ending.

Why is your baby peeing in his clothes? Do you not believe in diapers?

Not OP but my baby only wears PJs once before a wash too. And we're lucky if she only goes through one outfit a day, usually its 2+. Babies easily create 3x as much laundry as adults.

OP here - yes of course he is in a diaper but he wakes up soaked more nights than not. He sleeps 13 hours straight. And drinks a lot of milk before bed. And weighs a ton (36 pounds at 20 months old).

3 loads a day? Are you as SAHP? Otherwise how are you home long though to load/unload 3 times?

Laundry ninja here:

You must learn to accept the infinite cycle of the laundry. It is not a mountain to be conquered. Find zen in the process and let go of the end product.

I do one load a week, and DH does one load a week. The nanny does the kids laundry and the cleaning people do sheets and towels.

It’s horrible. Never ending. I have started using those pick up services every so often when I just feel totally overwhelmed by it, and it really decreases my stress levels.

Ditto. Having the washer dryer in the basement doesn’t help

Our house is a family of 5. We do a load every night as soon as the last person hops in the shower. That’s more than we really need to do but it’s better to be caught up than behind. Our LG washer takes around 45 min which helps. I would hate to have a washer with a much longer cycle time. My older kids are starting to help load the washer. Now it’s actually better than when we had a live in nanny who washed clothes maybe every 3 days.

How many loads of laundry do you do every week? We are a family of 5 with 3 kids 6 years old and younger and I swear I do at a minimum 1 load of laundry daily. If I miss a day I end up having 2-5 loads to do depending on if its time to change sheets and towels. How do you keep up?!? I currently have 2 baskets to fold and put away upstairs and another load in the laundry that needs to be finished.
