If you have a good blender, take that. I forgot my Vitamix before my vacation this summer and the ninja blender they had was horrific in comparison. And you cant go out and buy a new one if youre just gonna use it for a week, lol!

Yes, basically haha. Or ask more detailed questions about what is IN the air bnb from the host. Ask specifics, because "well equipped kitchen" means something else in a rental house where things can change every few weeks as things break, get lost or taken.

Normally I always just tell myself that we can find a Target or Walmart nearby in case we're really missing something, but you did say "remote" so that may not be an option. And Thanksgiving is a Big Holiday so messing up feels less like a cute story and just really stressful.

Foil! Good for lining pans, wrapping up leftovers, or covering bowls/plates of food in the fridge.

Can opener.

Sheet pan. For some reason Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in never have one.

Agree with storage things- containers, Saran Wrap, foil, ziplock bags.

Also, cleaning supplies. You do not want to be trying to clean all the thanksgiving pots and pans with a cheap sponge.

We stayed at an Air BnB that was very well equipped but had no storage containers for leftovers. And I didn't bring ziplocks or anything so I had to wrap leftover pizza in the random roll of wax paper I found.

So I'd say: tupperware and ziplocks, gallon size.

I'd also bring a can opener and any spices you can't do without.

-Serving spoons
-Lots of extra paper towels and/or kitchen towels
-I would need several additional serving dishes for the number of sides I make, don't know about you
-Foil/plastic wrap
-Meat thermometer
-Ladle for gravy and something to serve the gravy out of
-Trivets or the cork circles for hot dishes to sit on the counter or tables

What will I miss having around for hosting Thanksgiving at an unknown kitchen? I'm packing my good knives and cutting board and a large cast iron pan and roasting pan. They say the kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans, but I know that means different things to different people. A couple serving dishes. Potholders.

What else do I take for granted in my home kitchen that I should pack?
