It’s a chain steakhouse. The food is fine but nothing spectacular.

I think it’s good, and celebratory, but the prices are a little high for me.

I always get the lobster mac and it's tasty but there aren't many lobster pieces in it. I like the French onion soup. Great raw oysters.The fish is decent. Hard to mess up Chilean sea bass in miso butter. The brussel sprouts are deep fried and terrible and the scalloped potatoes are often undercooked. Mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and mushrooms are good sides.

NP. You’re clearly not a steakhouse person. That’s fine. But petit filet (i.e., small version of the most flavorless steak available) and the lobster mac is “too rich”? Just go to Sweet Green.

I enjoy an occasional lunch at the Capital Grille, but we had Thanksgiving there a few years ago, and it was nothing special.

Food is good. But if you’re a good cook, it’s no better than you can do at home if you were to buy a thick marbled steak and cooked your sides with lots of butter, cream, garlic, or salt or any combination of them.

For an entree + side to share and either an app or dessert figure around $100-$125 pp. Then add in wine or drinks, tax and tip.

Bread & butter is good too, before the steaks arrive. If you must eat something in addition to the steak, the lobster bisque is proper and they add the lobster at the table.

It’s a decent steakhouse. Some cuts are better than others but nothing is really cheap.

I mean capital grille is kind of a sure thing … way better than say Morton’s in my opinion. I’ve never done thanksgiving there though.

Boyfriend and I are trying to decide between Thanksgiving dinner at home, just the two of us, or going out with a larger group of acquaintances to Capital Grille. We're kind of dreading the cost of Capital Grille especially if it's crappy food. (We cook a lot and are picky about restaurants.) Any foodies on here who have been to this place and can warn us if it's going to be disappointing?
