At our local rinky dink Food Lion they are always incredibly well stocked. So much so that I wonder what happens to all the unsold food after the holiday. It’s like my own little hidden gem. No lines before holidays or impending snow storms. Always has what I need while people are throwing elbows at Wegmans and Costco.

Rather than try to supplement with an additional breast, why not add an additional meat dish ( a roast beef, salmon, etc) All four people may not necessarily be bird eaters.

I bought one this AM from Whole Foods at Friendship Heights. I've done 'deconstructed turkey' for years but only last year had trouble finding a last-minute turkey breast. WF stock was mostly in the 5lb or the 9-11lb range (I wanted 6.5-7lbs.)

You can get a turkey loin from Trader Joes.

Wagshals. They still have them both bone in and off.

I bought a turkey breast at the Harris Teeter in downtown Bethesda yesterday.

I bought one at Balducci's yesterday. THey had a handful.

I have just learned that we will have 4 additional guests - that is lovely, of course, but I need to get my hands on a turkey breast to supplement the bird I have ordered from Whole Foods (which shows turkey breast sold out online). Suggestions are welcome. (Including for breathing techniques to stay calm and serene and thankful).
