Does rec soccer even matter?
Does any of it really matter? We had adult very good referees at all our rec games this weekend. Sorry the refs would rather officiate rec all stars then travel games that “matter”.
Herndon All Stars has less trouble getting refs because they are in Herndon and there are sufficient numbers of refs in Fairfax to cover the games.
Hunt Country classic always struggles because they don’t have enough local refs to cover the games. They have to entice refs to drive out to Prince William and Fauquier Counties. Plus they use a Maryland based assignor who is notorious for not doing anything to develop referees.

+1. We had a couple very young and nervous appearing refs for younger ages but they did good, nothing egregious and glad that they were there.
-1. the refs were weak. It was painful to watch.
