Have done IEPs at three different Arlington ESs, including Drew and Ashlawn, and all were good and comparable.

Current Randolph parent. Don’t have anything to compare it to (never worked with an IEP team at another school) but we are happy. They are fairly responsive and we have not had to push for services and accommodations. I am sure that it can vary.

My kid is at Drew. Very, very small class sizes with great teachers and a lot of specialists and support. He's incredibly happy and is learning a ton. The principal and assistant principal are great and they have an engineering lab which is great for hands on learning. There's relatively little iPad time. Lots of differentiated instruction and opportunities for physical activity.

I don't have first hand info about how they handle IEPs, but know two kids that do. They expressed concerns about getting the accommodations they felt their kid needed, but their concerns were resolved with a meeting or two.

It's at 98% capacity and will fill back up. I worked at Randolph for a time and was very impressed with the SPED staff. It's a very warm, nurturing school with several SPED programs (I'm guessing you are looking at Mini-MPPA which was after my time)

I have been super impressed with the Child Find and Ashlawn teams so far. We’d like to move. How are the IEP teams at Randolph and Drew? Any other schools in south Arlington to recommend? Parents love Abington, but I don’t think the overcrowding would be good for my kiddo, so probably not there.
