Navigating family expectations can be tricky, but you shouldn't need a seriously ill infant or a deadly global pandemic to do as you please on a holiday.

As sad as I am not to see my parents, I’m equal parts or even MORE excited we don’t have to fake our way through the holiday with DH toxic family. Even he has commented on how peaceful and relaxing things will be this year. This is the best thing to ever happen for our family.
