+1. Pre covid whenever we went to those type places, my kids of course loved them but they almost always seemed to get sick after going! Stomach bugs, colds, skin rashes. It was always something! So I wouldn’t risk it w covid concerns, flu season and right before the holidays.

I think I would allow my kid to go to a pump it up party generally but perhaps I would be more cautious right before seeing grandparents.

When I threw a party there prepandemic - it wasn’t open to the public. Your party got one bounce room (alone) and then another bounce room (alone) and then a party / table room (alone).

I mean, they are high risk in the sense that the kids are breathing heavily in close proximity indoors, and eating cake in a very small room. I wouldn't do it right before visiting elderly grandparents; COVID aside, it's a great place to spread all kinds of colds and stomach bugs.

I wouldn’t want to eat cake in those small rooms. That said, I it’s school friends, she already spends a lot of unmasked indoor time with them, so I am not sure another 30 minutes is going to make a functional difference.

I would only consider going if it is a private party with a small number of kids. It gets packed in there, kids are very close together and they are going to either want to take their masks off or the masks will slip off from the rolling around and bouncing.

I've allowed my son to go to a Climb Zone party so I am no anti-party but Pump it up was always a germfest, too packed and I agree with the low brow comment too.

We went once right before Covid and my then-2.5yo loved it!! It was a private party so not low brow lol. If yours is a private party then less fear of getting sick. We didn’t get sick (and no masks then obviously).
