I would not do this. I personally don't gamble and would hate to ve given money-lender this. Just give cash or gift cards.

Sorry, can't type on phone - money already spent. Scratchers and lotto tickets can nd usually do result in absolutely no actual money.

Same. Plus a lot of religions frown on gambling.

Says who? There are no hard and fast rules on this. We have given about $1K the past couple of years, split between individual teacher gifts and the central bonus pool. Some give less and some give more. People should give what they are comfortable giving and able to afford.

$100 for each current teacher. My kid switched rooms in August. I briefly thought about doing $50 for each teacher from both rooms, but my favorite teacher from the old room just announced she is leaving next week so, I’m skipping that idea

Wow that’s great! How much is tuition? Mine is 2.5K and I can’t afford to give that much. Our daycare also collects for all and divides and the room parent gave examples of $100-$150 and along with how much bonus per teacher/staff that would translate to if all families gave that much.

My son has been in two classrooms this year with two main teachers each (so he's had four teachers total). However, the program also has a director and support staff and classroom aides, all of whom interact with him. I'm planning to give a mug with cash gift (advice on how much?) to each of his four main teachers, but who else should I be gifting specifically? I'm planning to also bring in holiday treats of some sort for all of the staff.
