Not for everyone. I tried making one and it was disgusting. Yes, I’m “baking challenged”. I can’t even make good chocolate chip cookies 😔

Similar question- can I bake a blueberry pie on Tuesday night to bring to my MIL’s house for thanksgiving dinner at 2:30 on Thursday? Or should I pack the ingredients and try to make it Wednesday after we arrive? I’m driving two hours.

It’s the recipe on the Libby’s pumpkin can. You should be able to buy it the day before but you must keeo it refrigerated. They are big pies—do you have the room in your frig?

Patti Labelle's is delicious if you don't mind sweet.

Sometimes the pie needs to put in the oven and baked longer.

I hope they are still good. Last year I made a pie from scratch, even roasted the pie pumpkin myself. My teens ate it, but they much prefer the Costco pie. Of course you can't beat the price.

That might explain it. I was really surprised and disappointed by the subpar taste. It only cost $6, but still.

I read recently that canned pumpkin (the pie pumpkins which are like squash) had all kinds of supply chain and weather/growing problems this year resulting in a subpar, hard to find product.

Yes, I understand this, I agree. But the host has requested these particular pies.

I bought a Costco pumpkin pie three weeks ago and it was not tasty. Threw most of it away as no one in my family would eat it. I remember it tasting better in previous years. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Oh no! That's sad. I didn't have one last year but I did the year before that and it was really good. What do you think they changed?

Monday or Tuesday are fine but there’s no obscure Costco times on the M & T before Thanksgiving.

This is what I’m in charge of this year. I know it’ll me a mad house on Wednesday. I can take a lunch at a more obscure time Monday or Tuesday and try to avoid the crowds, but is this too early for a pumpkin pie? I will be keeping it in my fridge, obviously. Thanks!
