I think the same would apply to women. I would not cheat or want to leave my family, but I sure as hell would be interested in a hot side piece if there were no consequences/associated guilt.

And a lot of very good looking successful men cheat in middle age with no intention of ever leaving their wives and families they love.

The better looking and wealthier, the more opportunity.

The pouchy midsection middle manager has a lot less opportunity. But, now with online affair websites even the less attractive are bumping nasties.

I think so. My exH cheated and I believe I broke his heart by leaving - but self-preservation is rule #1. I had to go.

Yes, of course. All men want to sleep with women other than their wives. It's just a matter of opportunity plus will power to say no. Will power is up or down depending on if they are having sex at home.

My wife was way hotter than the woman I cheated with. I never said a bad word about her, never have to anyone. She’s pretty much perfect in every way and I still cheated on her. It’s something I will always regret doing. Therapy really helped me get my head straight.

In these cases it’s complete compartmentalization by the cheater. They don’t bring the thought of the outside sex home. It’s not love. It’s not part of their reality. Online sex—seek a partner solely for that, not a real life prior meeting.

Yes, they can still cheat if marriage is sexless or not enough of it.

Curious. How long does loyalty last for a man? If the sex is good but they fight here and there would they cheat? Asking mostly men. Also, if the woman is fat or has a stomach but you love them would you cheat if someone attractive wants you?
