Second what PP said about Open Table, but I hesitate. Eating out is tough this year with the labor shortage and it is always awful on Xmas Eve. We have tried almost everything open in NW and Bethesda on that day and have never had a good experience. The last couple of years we order in Chinese. Much easier.

Following. But I fear you'd better approach this differently. As in, go on a site like Open Table for reservations and see what restaurants come-up as having openings.

We have started a tradition of eating out on X-mas Eve. In 2018, we did Clyde's in Friendship Heights and then in 2019 the Majestic in Old Town. Both wonderful and atmospheric. I happened upon Woodmont Grill in Bethesda and thought that would be perfect for this year, but it's already booked out. Any other ideas for cozy spaces?
