I think it sounds great! My kids would revolt if I left sweet potatoes off the menu, but I know not everyone cares about sweet potatoes. If your family doesn't, I wouldn't include them just for 'tradition'.

This is pretty much my plan, but I add rolls. Sounds great to me!

I think it's great! If am just like you except my kids are 12 and 9 (and I'm American), and I plan on just doing these exact things plus rolls. Although I'm actually doing chicken instead.
I love the way you're thinking about this.

For a family of four - my husband and me plus 2 children, ages 11 and 7:
Turkey
Mashed potatoes
Stuffing
Gravy
Roasted brussel sprouts
Apple pie & pumpkin pie for dessert.
I'm not even from this country, but my children (and husband) like to celebrate Thanksgiving. I usually offer many more choices buy since I'm not hosting this year...
So, it this good enough to keep with the traditional Thanksgiving dinner?
