I was sick with a cold and needed decongestant . I picked out subs and wrote in the notes that decongestant, any, was the only thing I truly needed on that order and to please call if there was any problem to call me. Order came and they replaced the decongestant with a bottle of 20 Advil. I was beyond pissed because I was sick, figured unlikely covid, but sick is sick and I paid for a delivery of crap I didn't need and still had to go out!

This is why I stopped using instacart. The whole process became way too anxiety inducing.

One time I got a pound of guacamole instead of a pound of dry split peas. I mean, both are green? I only paid for split peas so called it a win!

I've never done online groceries. Are these human beings deciding these things or is it algorithms? You'd think the sub would at least me in the same aisle.

You have to be paying attention while they’re shopping so you can approve or decline the substitutions.

I just got my food delivery from Amazon. They substituted soy sauce for stuffing mix, and almonds (the nuts) for almond CRACKERS.
