The death of my family friend's teenage son in an accident. He would have turned 48 this year. I miss him a lot.

The long drawn illness of my dad when he became a vegetable. His death was a release for him from his prison.

My BFF dying 2 years back. I will never be loved and accepted again in the way she accepted me. She was my soul.

My SIL dying suddenly of an aggresive, fast spreading cancer a few months ago. My beloved elder brother is devastated. I fear I will lose him again.

To know that both my handsome young nephews have a genetic disease which will disable them. My younger brother is also devastated.

The suddenness with my uncle died, just 11 days after my dad's death. I ended up attending his funeral just hours before my flight back to US.

To know that my college advisor and mentor is very sick and I cannot help him. He and his wife are like parents to me. I cannot visit them in another country.

To know that I am slowly going blind.

Tie between finding out my brother died and the first time my child tried to kill himself. Probably the latter because it has been such a long road and with unbelievably painful periods. but my brothers death really hit hard.

You are…very lucky

When loved ones died (brother, college bf, beloved cousin etc.) and during the most painful breakup of my life. I'm embarrassed to say it was the second one that took me years to get over.

Blindsided by an affair 20 years into marriage right after my beloved dad died.

When my baby was taken nto the NICU without anyone explaining to me what was going on.

Nothing ended up being wrong. She had one high temperature reading.

I'd rather go through another c section again then to feel that NICU pain again.
