Only in this permissive, anything goes, society.

Why the judgment? I was married and did not have sex for 5 years at one clip and 3 years another stretch…in my 30s. A year and a half is not a long time if you are a single woman not it a relationship. (Before marriage I never went more than 3 months without but could easily see going a year and a half if I really was not feel it). I kind of forced it with my ex husband after a bad breakup thinking getting under someone would help. It did not. It was never good really and ended up getting married. Dumb. OP should take her time.

This. Generally, no, it does not help. Only if the sex is amazing, which is rare. Woman here.

Palate cleanser. Just don’t expect it to turn into a relationship. I picked a guy that I would never have considered inviting to brunch with my friends. Sex was amazing, though.

I wouldn’t sleep with someone random expecting that to happen, no. I think getting over someone happens when you do the work to figure out how to treat yourself well. Whatever feels like love to you, you do it. Nice meals? Flowers? Special trip? Time with friends? Spa day? Indulge yourself. If someone is offering you great sex and that makes you feel wonderful about yourself, by all means. Whatever makes you understand you don’t need the other person to have joy.

It’s a distraction, which helps. A fun distraction.

No. It only helps if the sex is out of this world. Sex with my ex was really amazing, so sex with others hasn't helped yet.

Who you had been with for more than 5 yrs? 1.5 yr have passed and when I'm not dating I start feeling both love and anger at the ex I had been with more than 5 yrs. Haven't slept with anyone yet.
