Yes, cash and guaranteed. I thought longer hours were more appealing. No?

Not on a weekend.

Agree. Maybe 6 hours better, 9-3, or 10-4.

Why not get a nanny for the baby while 3 ye old is in preschool? Cheaper than 8 hr chunk for 2 kids on a weekend.

Okay, how about this: 6 hours, $30 an hour, 10 to 4 or 11 to 5? That way the nanny or teacher could still sleep late and have the evening free with $180 cash in her pocket?

NP here and that has to be good! Geez!! $180 in your pocket every Saturday?! Come on!

I can’t. DH almost always gets Sunday’s off and I like my weekday routine with the kids. All my friends work during the week as well.

Op you might be able to find someone, but you have a lot of competition right now. I make $35-$50 an hour at my restaurant shift, and that's not even on very busy night or in a fancy restaurant. I do have some breaks, I can be late to work and I can leave early if it slows down. I can ask for help if it gets too crazy, and food and drinks are free. We hire most people who apply and show up. At least they get a chance to show if they can do it.
Babysitter are asked a lot more, including references.

Maybe a college student would be willing to do it, but maybe 4-6 hours.

Well, yes and no. Not for a preschool teacher who already worked all week, but needs some extra cash.

Thanks but I’m not comfortable with a teen babysitter. I was hoping for a regular nanny or preschool teacher.

I’m a SAHM with a one year old and three year old. Even with my 3 yr old in morning preschool, I still get nothing done. DH works long hours and also is on call on the weekends. He’s a huge help when home but I can’t count on his help with his schedule. I never get a break to get my hair cut, work out, see friends, organize my house, etc.

I’d love a nanny for eight hours on a Saturday to watch and play both kids and sometimes just the baby so I could do stuff with my 3 yr old alone. Is this workable/doable? Is $25 an hour a good starting rate? Anyone have a weekend nanny? TIA
