*we did Balduccis the year I’d just started radiation treatment the week before. I was still physically feeling fine but the constant cancer anxiety was there. It was nice to have a meal fully prepared.

I have ordered from Giant and Wegman's both in the past. Both are perfectly good. The main difference and why I prefer Wegmans is they give you real gravy whereas Giant would include jars of Heinz gravy you can buy off the shelf.

I do agree though with a PP about not 100% loving Wegmans mashed potatoes. They are fine but not as thick as I'd like, especially for having with gravy. I still order from them for Thanksgiving though and have ever since I started. The turkey is good and I don't have to worry about dinner hours late or making people sick (with undercooked turkey).

Good health to you, and happy holidays, OP!

Good to know. My son can be picky about the mashed potatoes and loves mine. I might make a small batch of my own and use theirs as a backup or for leftovers. I can probably handle making one dish. It’s the whole meal that seems very intimidating this year! I find I have a certain amount of energy for the day, and once I’m done, I’m really done.

The Bob Evans ones really aren’t bad! Also, I think Wegman’s carries potatoes that are peeled and quartered in their freezer section. (I know some grocery stores do for sure.) So you can still make your own with real potatoes, but that might be a nice shortcut. Or time for the kids/DH to make some mashed potatoes!

I just wrapped up cancer treatment and I don’t think I’ll have it in me to make Thanksgiving dinner this year. It’s just us (me, DH and late elementary age kids), so it doesn’t have to be big or fancy. The Wegman’s dinner for six looks pretty good. Any others people would suggest?
