Always also on sale for "black friday" (now entire Q4 of year from what I can tell)
I love my instant pots but not for slow cooking - google it, something about how the instant pot only heats from below but a slow cooker heats from bottom and the sides. It makes a difference - I know because I used one of my instant pots as a slow cooker and the recipe did not turn out as well as it does when I use a slow cooker.
For a slow cooker, I suggest getting one with a locking lid for travel - that’s a feature I use. But think of how you’ll use it - will you slow cook an entire chicken? Might want an oval pot for an easier fit. Or maybe you would like a smart pot. I rarely use my slow cooker anymore because I prefer pressure cooking in an instant pot, but when I do use the slow cooker, it is so I can bring a dish to a potluck, so I love being able to cook and travel with a slow cooker designed for travel. I once used a non-travel slow cooker for a potluck and it was a pain and a mess.
If you have to choose - I’d get an instant pot and use it as a pressure cooker. I found it very easy to convert from slow cooking to pressure cooking and I don’t have to plan ahead as much since pressure cooking is much faster
