Something like this, but don't describe yourself as "kindly."
Just invite them to a "reception celebrating the bar mitzvah of [X]."

This is for a wedding, but I'd do something similar. Then you put a second card in with details for the ceremony for those invited. That's similar to how we did our wedding.

This is just a guess, but what about something like “Please join us for a reception in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of….”
If I received that invitation, I would understand that the wedding, bar mitzvah, baptism, etc had already taken place. I am not Jewish so forgive me if the wording isn’t quite right! Someone else may have a better idea.
