If he cared for new things, Uniqlo men's section is where I would do. I have a few items from there and so does out younger one.

I love unique, the thrift store. I am thrilled when i find stuff there for my family, myself included. Nothing to feel bad about. In fact my faith i humanity is restored a bit when i see all the teenagers shopping there.

REI, urban outfitters, thrift stores, AEO,

J crew and banana republic for khakis and collared shirts

Nordstrom rack for wedding/homecomings/etc

Hollister for jeans.

Other than that all over. Especially thrift stores.

Any ideas for places that don’t advertise their brand so heavily on the clothing? I don’t like that all of DS’s clothes seem to do that.

This is so my DS. He’s 16 now and in August we went to Dick’s as normal, but he didn’t like anything. It was a Dick’s at the mall (Fair Oaks) so we just walked out in to the mall. We stopped at a few teen looking shops and he really liked Hollister. Bought a ton of stuff there - all comfortable wearing clothes from shorts to shirts and hoodies. For what it’s worth.

I buy my 13 year olds clothing too because he doesn’t like to shop. I buy a lot of things at old navy. Took him to an outlet mall a couple months ago to try and find pants and add some variety to his wardrobe and I observed that he does not know how to shop. At all. He didn’t know how to go about finding things he liked, was easily sidetracked by random things in the stores (eg sales displays), didn’t know his size or how to find the fitting room. He even locked himself out of his fitting room and had to crawl under the door to get back inside. It was eye opening. I think I have done him a disservice by doing all his shopping for him.

My 13 year old DS is kind of getting out of the sports brands -- or at least has moved on from Under Armour. Has some Champion, Nike. Is also liking the ski/surf brands. (even tho we're in DC and he's never done either). Billabong, Vans, Ripcurl. I just buy stuff online -- Nordstrom Rack, Kohls, Dicks, Macys.

My kid is still a tween, but we laugh that he probably couldn't tell you what he’s wearing without looking down. He’s oblivious, but about to grow out of little kid stores and I was hoping this thread would tell me what to buy. Currently wearing khaki cargo pants and a rugby shirt.

I have 12 and 14 y/o DSs. They mostly like athletic wear, which we buy online or from Dick’s. They love hoodies and t-shirts from their favorite professional and college teams. For nicer items, they’ll wear Vineyard Vines shorts, pants, polos and button-up shirts but they’ll only wear these things if necessary (ex. we’re going to a restaurant and I make them).

Uniqlo, the Nike Store, and REI.

He refuses to shop and says I do a good job and lets me handle it. TJ Max, Marshalls, Walmart, kid seriously doesn't care. Used to do a lot of Children's place but outgrew that.

DS is 13. He’s sporty and many of his kids clothes are from Dick’s. Brand names are plastered all over them. What are some other stores or brands to buy clothes (does not have to be sporty). My go-to when he was younger was Target but I feel like that’s not quite right now. Any suggestions?
