High Point provides a stellar education in an encouraging environment—and gives merit aid. It is a fine choice. A girl my daughters age who was All Met athlete in soccer, straight A student and 35 on ACT is at High Point. And loving it. Don’t be so closed minded. Some kids don’t want to freeze their asses off at Amherst.

Elon is actually a respectable university.
I equate a High Point diploma with the validity of a Liberty diploma.
The northern version is Quinnipiac.

This was our feeling. When we toured this summer, there was a DJ at the main pool, which was surrounded by palm trees. My DC thought the campus was pretty, but after talking to 3-4 kids, didn't think the academics were serious because they only focused on the campus amenities (dining, laundry service etc). This opinion was reinforced when we saw the billboard on I-40 touting HPU as "the life skills university." I'm not sure what that is, but the school spends a lot of money marketing that tag line.If Disney opened a college in Stepford.
