Hydro Flask is a favorite in our house.

Either of these below are great and not too pricy, IMO.

We have both styles and both are great. When I put soup in of the morning for a kid, leftover soup will be just as hot that evening when I go to dump it.

pro-tip: put boiling water in your thermos for a few minutes before dumping it and refilling with food to "warm it up". It will add another hour or two to your warmth time

My green Stanley Thermos keeps my coffee McDonlalds-hot for 12 hours. Should work the same with Rice and Beans.

Does anyone have a thermos or similar food container you'd recommend to keep food hot from morning (like 0700) until early afternoon (4 pm)?

I thought this was impossible but a friend mentioned she bought an expensive thermos ($50 or so) that keeps food hot for a very long time. She couldn't remember the brand b/c it was purchased years ago.

We currently use a Thermos Brand Funtainer food jar which us OK for early lunch but definitely not keeping anything hot (more like warm) so DC has a more limited choice of food options.

If I could put rice and beans in a better thermos for my DC it would be life changing (or at least early dinner changing!)

Thanks for any recommendations!
