It's funny how we're playing in less tournaments but our fees haven't gone down.

Fewer clubs signing to compete in the showcase, not even Arlington did it.

This is true for every tournament. How many people have said that the tournament teams are as good - WAGS, CASL, Bethesda, etc. Teams just aren't competing as much, which can be good. Tournaments aren't about the best team winning, they're who has the stamina to outlast everyone else.

Seems like this is true for us. We always do at least three tournaments in the fall. Last year we did four. This year we're only doing two with this NCFC being one of them. Not doing Jeff Cup this spring either for first time ever.

CASL became ncfc.

It’d be silly to travel out of town to play the same teams your team is playing in the league.

Agree. Thankfully, we got to play teams that we haven't played before. There were teams in the top flight that we've already beaten. It didn't make any sense IMO. Think NC goes off of SINC sports or something, instead of the crummy Gotsoccer. I much prefer Youth Soccer Rankings, though they can be skewed too.

Nothing worse than traveling a long way to play the same teams in your kids league.

Pipeline 2009 & 2010 swept the top bracket in both age-groups. New coaching is doing amazing things for both teams.
