OP here. This is so encouraging to hear. Could I ask if you had your DHEA or testosterone tested? My RE added these tests and found that I'm borderline low and I need to do 3 months of DHEA supplements before IVF.

+1 You have a good prognosis because of your age. Age of mother is #1 factor, even in male factor infertility

If you end up doing IVF try minimal stim first. You are at risk of overstimulating. You could be started on IUI and make so many follicles they want to convert you to IVF (which is good!).

I can't explain your labs. They are definitely weird.

What age did you have your first? Also, for your current pregnancy what age did you retrieve your eggs?

First was from a retrieval when I was 36.5, delivered at 37. Second (current) was from a retrieval a month before i turned 42.

Thank you for responding. My AFC results just came back and it's sky high. 44 follicles. I'm trying to get my follow up appt moved up asap because my RE told me it wasn't PCOS based on my hormone panel and lack of indicator (slender, normal A1C, no insulin intolerance) but clearly there is something strange going on here - either atypical PCOS or something I'm not thinking of.

I don't know about your case, but my AFC mattered more than my AMH when it came to my IVF cycle. Whatever is going on, your young age will likely be a big benefit to you. If your only problem is not ovulating that likely can be fixed with drugs.

OP here. Got some more details on the results. AMH 3.4, FSH 10.8. Everything else normal except for slightly elevated SHGB of 97 (meaning slightly lower testosterone). It seems that that high FSH and high SHGB might be related, but not a clear reason why. I do have a follow-up with my RE, but anxious in the meanwhile. Anyone have something similar going on?

No, I don't ovulate or very infrequently from looking at OPKs. My RE doesn't seem super concerned but I'm very curious as to what's going on.

I don’t know. Have you been trying already with OPK? You are very young so if you ovulate that’s a good sign, but it might be laborious to try to pinpoint when that is. Have you spoken to an RE about IVF?

From looking online, it doesn't seem too common. The high FSH means I likely don't ovulate on my own which I already suspected due to my irregular cycles. I don't know what the cause is, but my doctor ruled out PCOS. Has anyone had this before and gotten an explanation for it? I'm waiting for my next RE appt, but just wondering what's going on.
