Stone crabs from Joe's Stone Crab
Something to keep in mind before you pay Joes prices for stone crab claws. Stone crab claws are pulled off and immediately boiled on the boats that harvest them don’t spoil (they throw the crabs back to regrow new claws, although not all survive the process). When the boats dock, buyers select the now-cooked and frozen claws, which they thaw and serve.

Joes has somehow convinced people that they “make” the best claws but the truth is you can order from a lot of the boats themselves for a fraction of the price and the product is identical. Plus, you support a small business with your purchase. I’ve used
