What’s wrong with their service department?! I’m a new Subaru owner and am planning to use their service department while the car is under warranty.

Nothing too bad just overpriced and some low level issues

Expect to pay MSRP. Highly recommend the heated leather seats - 100% worth the extra cost.

All cars are hard to find these days. We payed MSRP for a Toyota Rav 4 hybrid (in Chicago) and felt lucky; most were MSRP +, and there weren’t many to be found.

We considered Subarus too. Same deal: hard to find, sometimes the ones you do find have dealer ad Ons. Outside of major markets, some dealers even have wait lists.

Subaru VIP program (which you can get by being a member of a number of different organizations like the International Mountain Bike Association or Leave No Trace and number of others) gets you 2% under invoice no haggle at any Subaru dealer.

We bought our Impreza a few years back with it and it was a very easy, straightforward process.

The Subaru Outbacks over 35k, are usually the Limited models.

I recall we ordered a new 2013 OB Premium in mid-2012 for 25k......... inflation, baby, inflation!!

They’re pretty scarce and I wouldn’t expect much discount.

Right now there is nothing in stock. Expect to pay list price.

Edmunds is fairly accurate and they are essentially saying that you will pay MSPR right now. Truecar has similar suggested prices.

You need to shop around. Make inquiries of all the nearby Subaru dealerships that have the car you want. Take the lowest price and shop it around.

I bought a new Subaru a few weeks ago under MSRP doing this. Some of the dealerships were quoting thousands OVER MSRP. it's a total crapshoot.

I hate buying cars and haven't purchased a new one in a while. I know cars are a hot commodity right now. I see that the price listed on most dealer websites is 37k for an Outback. Is this what I should expect to pay (all cash) or can I expect less?
