It’s cheaper than I was paying per year for my family of four to belong to gyms.

So for me personally it would be a wash.

It looks like the stock price is just back to a normal slope from before the pandemic which seems reasonable to me.

To keep my bike running? At least that per year.

I don’t care as long as there’s a library of classes on demand. I never used the live or social stuff anyway.

I thought they made money from subscriptions not bikes. Everyone is keeping their subscriptions.

The die-hards won't quit, but its clear that they need to figure out a way to actually turn a profit very soon. A 35% drop in stock price in a single day is telling. the market is saying that the stock can not trade on potential or growth anymore.

The die-hards won't quit on peloton. Peloton will quit on the die hards

apple will buy peloton. That will be the smartest move. Scott Galloway has been predicting that this will be their move.

I agree. You could see this coming from a mile away.

I actually do think this is the end for Peloton. They will likely get bought out by another company, and the existing bikes will need to be compatible with a new brand/new offerings.

But I think Peloton as an exclusive type of work-out "class" is over.

LOL I mentioned in 2020 that if anything happens to the company that bike is as useful as a oversized paperweight. They even made it difficult to jailbreak and use as a normal tablet. Which is why I bought a $2,000 exercise bike without the subscription requirement.

Anyway, I don't think Peleton is going anywhere. They're just adjusting to the post-pandemic world where the entire society is not forced to live, work, and study at home. People are going back to the office, to 7AM Soulcycle and Orange Theory classes, and no longer buying Peloton en masse.

And that's okay. They'll be fine.

It sounds like they may become a niche instead of ubiquitous. I doubt they go under. They should be able to provide the services that they do with the prices that they charge because plenty of competitors provide similar services at lower price points.

For those not paying attention, the PTON stuck CRASHED hard today. And some talking heads are saying that this the beginning of the end of the for Peloton.

I know there are a lot of people that LOVE their bike. How much would you be willing to pay to keep the service? It looks like they will need a drastic increase in price to have any chance of surviving
