Thank you! I never heard of Rollins before. It looks maybe too small, and way too wealthy! but at least I can mention it to her and she will know I am taking her desire for warm weather seriously.
College of Charleston is already on her radar, but it is very not diverse....

Yeah. I think she may have SAD, honestly. I hadn't realized how much she crazed bright sunny weather but that is what is coming out of her initial foray into college visits. She got very depressed on a recent visit to Massachusetts and Connecticut. The schools were fine but she just couldn't see herself living anywhere with dark, cold winters.

Is Rollins in Florida too small? If not, ekherdt and new college are even smaller.

Help me find some schools for my daughter, currently a junior.
She is interested in a mid-sized school, smart students but not very driven. She's looking for student body that is social, involved - but not a big party school. A school with a good sense of community; options for co-ops, internships and especially study abroad. Doesn't know what she wants to major in yet but leaning towards marketing/business.
Overwhelmingly she says she wants to go to school where the weather is fairly warm, bright, sunshiny... hopefully near the coast; not rural -- in or near a city. (She's basically rules out all of New England, Upstate New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania with these requirements.)
Finally, some diversity in the student body is important to her. Although she is white, a school that is 95% white would be very uncomfortable for her. That seems to rule out a lot of the southern schools.
Any ideas? I'm drawing a blank...
