I turned down a lot more in 1990s-early 2000s. Didn't matter AT ALL. Now if it was say, 20m+, then maybe that sweetens pot.

I don't count that as being a millionaire. But maybe that's just me. I consider one million as having that in the bank and retirement. I have two houses paid for combined worth over a million I would guess. But only recently considered myself a millionaire based on what I have in the bank

All I know is the guy or whatever age manages to save or earn or win or be gifted $1m.

And hopefully it’s not sitting in some unrealized crytpo account… pre tax.

Eh, if he made $1M in crypto he’s either extremely lucky or not the idiot you seem to think!

The Whitman coach having sex with the girls on his crew lives in a $1.5 million townhouse in Georgetown.

Does that make him more attractive?

No.

Did he make the money? And why is 1 million big enough money for him to let it slip out?

I’m 50 so if a guy hasn’t amassed 1-2m by this age it tells me he isn’t that financially responsible. But also it’s helpful to know he isn’t going to need my money either. So it’s not a criterion but I would have reservations about someone who wasn’t there yet.

I’ve never cared about how much money someone has while dating. If someone brags subtly about money, it’s a big turn off (I’ve dumped a lot of men in DC who lead with this). If I like the guy and see he’s financially responsible, it would just check a box. He would have to have all the other qualities I look for in addition to chemistry for me to continue dating him.

I'd be turned off that he told me how much he had. I can't imagine how else I would find out. Maybe he brags to his friends or acquaintances? Yuck.

It depends on other factors. If his personality is identical to someone else financially stable it could matter, but it doesn’t make up for anything deficient. So if you’re an asshole, being financially stable won’t fix it for you.

I earn $1 million per year so it wouldn’t mean much.

I can't figure out if you're the one deciding if you to be a gold digger or trying to attract a gold digger.
