Relax.

In DC there are a number of clinics at schools (with single dates) listed but no appointments. I think it is just first come first served.

It's definitely a different vial and needle but it's been available to pre-order since October 20 according to this doc from the CDC. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/downloads/Pediatric-Planning-Guide.pdf. I did hear it would likely not be available until the week of the 8th. If Inova pre-ordered, clinics starting on 11/7 could definitely be realistic but I still don't think they meant to send the link out until after CDC approval.

I don't think so. I've read several articles indicating that the administration is different and that they will be using smaller needles as well. My own pediatrician stated the same, and they've been routinely giving out the Pfizer vaccine to 12+ patients.

Appointments aren’t available yet since no one knows for sure how much they are getting and when. Dosage is set though - 1/3 the adult dose, with an orange cap and label to be readily distinguishable.

Our pediatrician said that most of the allotment will be going to pharmacies, very little going to pediatric practices.

Pediatrician's allotment is only enough to cover 10% of her patients.

Yeah, I remember looking on that site back on April 19th when vaccines opened up for all adults. Couldn't find anything for two weeks! Ended up going two hours south with an appointment for the next day.

Came here to see if anyone has any info about this clinic. I’ll call the hospital to see if they will honor the appointments but was hoping someone onhere had some info!

I also think the link was sent prematurely but I’m hoping the appointments will still be valid!

This is OP and I'm thinking the Inova one may have been released in error but I'm going to sit tight until my appointment is cancelled (if that's what happens). They should be available to sign up tomorrow regardless, though I heard elsewhere the vaccine may not be physically available til next week.

Has anyone seen pediatric appointments? My friend sent me a link to a clinic at Inova but they filled up pretty quickly. I actually snagged one but was surprised it didn't have me set up a mychart appointment (like I did for my appt) so i'm wondering if it was a mistake/glitch as happened a lot when the adult vaccine was first approved.

Any word on when appointments at pharmacies, the tysons, clinic, etc might be available?
