It seems like a real hotbed of the culture wars right now and not somewhere I’d want to work or send my child. FWIW all NOVA districts are having staffing shortages right now.

Which leads to more work on existing teachers...and then the blame comes from parents that their child isn't getting a quality education. Also, better not offer them incentives to stay or come on board for that matter (you know higher pay, days off) they already have it so easy.
