I so feel for you. I am often driven to do thinks like that to spite my husband for his stupidity. But luckily, I am (mostly) able to constrain myself.

Terrible. I view my DH’s possessions (especially one of his favorites) as mine too and I don’t destroy my things (for financial, environmental, sentimental, and practical reasons). Even if I wanted to teach a stranger a lesson, I wouldn’t destroy their property because it’s wasteful. You two need better communication skills and mutual respect.

No matter how annoyed I was with my kids, I would never use their prized possessions to clean up their mess. That’s just mean.

It's pretty gross for you to do this. One time my ex friend fed her drunk husband popcorn from a garbage can in a pub. This reminds me of her. I am so glad I'm not friends with her anymore.
You have problems with him and otherwise, maybe a super controlled childhood, who knows, but you need better wells to deal with this kind of stuff.
(And I'm also thinking about your poor washing machine)

Husband routinely sits full trash bag on back porch and always forgets (or too lazy) to move it to the can in the alley.
Every time I see him empyting the can (same amout as me) I say "Please put that all the way in the outside can, I'm not cleaning up another mess."
He replies, annoyed, with "Yeah, yeah, yeah."
He never does and the animals rip it open if I don't do it for him.
So, it happend again. So I used his favorit fleece jacket to mop up all the nasty filth. And I left it laying in the spot where he left the trash.
What say you?
