Yup! And it is always WELL deserved. For example, the last time I did it was because this young girl sat on her horn because I stopped to let the ambulance and paramedics pass by. I guess whatever she was doing was more important than the life-saving those guys were trying to do.

No, I don’t think I’ve ever given anyone the finger; it’s just not a gesture I’ve ever adopted so it’s not something I’d think to do.

This for me too!

Only mentally.

I notice that the finger givers are usually the ones in the wrong. Like when someone turns right on a red in front of you, when you have the right of way and if you give them the exasperated look you get the finger back. People can't drive and then want to blame others.

No. I find it to be in extremely poor taste.

Never, and never will. It's not something that's in my universe of probabilities. It's funny you mention home countries, OP. In mine, people roll down their windows to gesticulate and swear all the time. Such a gesture would not be out of place at the end of a long diatribe while stuck at a red light with the object of your ire. Which is perfectly fine, because guns are strictly regulated

Rarely, but if someone is laying on the horn because I won't run down a pedestrian in a crosswalk I feel like it's a moral obligation.

I try to keep it to exasperated "what are you doing?" hand motions. Sometimes I give the finger down low where only I can see it haha. I have to be really mad, like someone driving out of control insane, to actually throw it at someone up high. It's rare though.

Just did yesterday. I know I need to stop but when someone is acting like a complete a$$hole I just can’t help myself.

No. Never. That’s not the kind of person I am.

Do you give the finger to fellow motorists? Sometimes i’d like to but I never do. First, what if it turns out to be a coworker, that would be pretty embarrassing. Second, in my former country doing something like that would pretty much mean I am waving my legal rights and declaring myself available for hand to hand combat. What about you?
